Will i reach 10.5 inches?

I'm working on a character design and I'm trying to find reference for a specific shoe so bare with me.
It's like a heelless heels, which exists, but the sole-bottom part extends further out back, like, below the heel part. I think it's for balance but whatever.
the closest I can find is bumper heels, but the one I'm thinking of comes out further.
Something close is that one heelless saint laurent that flopped, but I want it taller.

So the last time I bought sneakers, I looked in 5 different department stores before I found the right pair. I don't think I'm asking for too much, but all I wanted were some all black comfortable sneakers without any silly logos or bright colors. I found a cheap pair finally and ordered them but they're now falling apart and I need new shoes. The problem is, I'm not good at shopping for this stuff. My needs are an all black sneaker in size 9 or 10 US mens that is both comfortable and durable because I work on my feet a lot. Something fairly heat insulating would also be nice as it gets very cold in the winters where I live. Any recommendations?

If I go half a size up than now the sneakers slip out, if I keep the size then toe touches the end. What do I do. Should I switch to barefoot? I'm an office working guy and cannot even find sneakers to fit, not even bringing dress shoes up.
I fit 2-3 fingers behind but toe area is always uncomfortable.
