Is there such a thing as comfortable dress pumps?

I never wear heels anymore and just received a pair from Abeo that I was so hopeful about but my toes are squished into a pointy shape at the front and it's uncomfortable. Is this normal if someone is not used to shoes without a wide toe box? Will I get used to it? No ones feet are naturally that shape so I can't imagine how women wear heels.
