Am I expecting too much quality wise?

[ad_1]

Hi y’all, hope this is the right place for this. I ordered La Canadienne Braydon boots on sale which usually retail for $500+. I’ve attached photos of them.

Do I need my expectations adjusted? I get that a glued sole might be necessary given the style of sole, but it seems like there are several flaws with uneven borders, gaps between the sole and the shoe (could be due to the Chelsea style, which is fine), and loose threads. I get that every shoe will have its flaws and quirks. I’m certainly not expecting perfection. I guess I wanted more from such an expensive shoe? Thanks in advance!

For context, I’ve been looking for a more professional boot that can stand up to harsher winters. I own a pair of Blundstones, which I love, but are more casual. I previously ordered a pair of Nero Giardini in a similar style to the Braydon, but same issue with quality. I’ve heard great things about La Canadienne, plus they’re waterproof.

Want to find better quality version of these shoes

[ad_1]

Hi, I want some chunky platform Mary Jane shoes – I want them to be comfortable enough for walking hours in (hence I don’t want a huge heel, or at least need a platform at the front too so the actual height isn’t too much), and I want them to be good quality / long-lasting, so preferably leather.

In terms of design, I really want something that looks just like this pair of Tira Mary Janes from Koi Footwear. Unfortunately these are vegan leather and I’ve also read bad things about Koi Footwear (uncomfortable, fall apart after a few months, etc). So I pretty much have been hunting for shoes that look just like this, but better quality!!

I’ve scoured the internet but anything close to this design seems to be either cheap fast fashion/faux leather. Doc Martens/Tuk/better quality brands don’t seem to have anything with this size of chunky heel or this style. Please help me out!!

Help me looking for new Slip on shoes

[ad_1]

Hi everyone,

I'm a big fan of Vans Slip-Ons (US size M10), but I'm on the hunt for a good alternative. I also own a pair of Nike Go Flyease, but their design feels a bit too eccentric for me to wear often in public.

I’ve come across brands like Allbirds (Dasher Relay or Loungers) and Olukai, but I’m curious—what else is out there?

What I’m looking for:

Slip-on style shoes available in Europe/France (or shippable here).

Good durability, especially around the toe area—I tend to wear a hole with my right big toe in my Vans after a while.

I'd like to avoid Skechers, because they look like a bit sketchy to me

Any recommendations for something sturdy and stylish? Thanks in advance!

Aching feet, bad shoes? Inserts?

[ad_1]

Ok to give this context I work in education in a building I walk around 6 hours at a time with some times just standing sedentary. I also do high school baseball umpiring in the summer.

Needless to say my feet hurt all the time. I’ve tried every shoe they tell me this is “best” for walking on your feet all day. Hokas OC, Nike, etc. Hokas are best so far. But here’s the catch. I just bought a new pair last night and my feet are horrible pain. My wife is great about me buying shoes and spending the money but there’s got to be a solution. I’ve bought numerous over the counter and eve. I’ve even had inserts molded to my foot. The expensive problem that causes is it’s only meant for one pair of shoe. Church shoes, dress shoes, umpire shoes not so much.

Can anyone help?
