Title really. I wanna get two pairs (one for me and my girlfriend) but that’s just a lot of money, anything that looks close for a little cheaper?

I have no idea where else to post this to, so I’m sorry if this is the wrong subreddit.
Backstory:
I had a pair of casual boat shoes I’d keep downstairs and wear to just grab the mail or walk my dog in. One day, I put them on and the inside was soaked. I have cats as well, so I assumed it was pee and threw them away (Even though my cats never pee on things) I did try to save them, but the residue was a weird orange/brown and entirely scentless so I gave up.
Today: I got a new pair of sandals, Tevas, at Macys like 2-3 days ago. I have worn them maybe once since purchasing.
I go downstairs this morning and there’s a pool of liquid ontop of one of the sandals. I grab paper towels and my black light.
– It was not pee
– doesn’t have a scent
– it’s a light yellow residue this time
I cleaned them up and dried them and checked again with the black light and still no visible sign of it being urine. Where the liquid was, it left a sparkly (like microscopic sparkle) sheen on it,
Does anyone have any idea what this is?? Has it ever happened to any of your shoes??

Title says it all. Constant life struggle as I get a little older and have developed some feet issues from all the awful shoes I used to wear 😭
I have extremely high arches, wide ass feet but they’re really small, like a true women’s 6-6.5 even though I’m 5’9”. Hoka’s are truly the only shoe I can wear for any amount of walking otherwise I risk fucking up my feet pretty badly.
Is there anything out there with a sole like a hoka but a more reasonable, stylish look? all I want is a comfortable pair of black boots 😭 some people can pull off Hoka’s but I am NOT one of them. I love a polished leather shoe.
I’ve already looked into vionic but they don’t really make wide shoes. Please any suggestions at all lol I can’t be the only person out there with this issue.

I'm looking for recommendations for comfortable shoes that still look professional enough for an office environment (business casual). My feet are usually aching by the end of the day in my current dress shoes/flats.
For Men what brands or specific styles have you found that balance comfort (good cushioning/support) with a polished look suitable for work? Open to different styles like loafers, comfortable dress shoes, supportive flats, etc. Durability is also a plus!
Any suggestions for comfortable work-appropriate footwear would be great! Thanks.

I bought these for $188 yesterday from a small store. The dark color on the heal/sole is so easily scratched off – the scratches in the photo are from the other shoe just gently grazing when I had them in a bag together for a few minutes.
It's not convenient to get back to the store to return them and I do like them. Is there a way to polish these so this won't happen or should I just return them?
