Comfortable ballet flats for tall women?

I'm looking for

  • Plain black ballet flats
  • In size Women's 10+ (probably more like 11)
  • To wear with stockings
  • That have arch support
  • And are comfortable

Does anyone have brand suggestions? I tried on the few that I found in-person at my local mall, but all of them seemed just painful to walk on, I felt like a duck running on concrete.

I don't have anything medically wrong with my feet, but this can't be how they are supposed to feel.

I just want shoes I can easily slip on and off for casual parties once a month.

Walking Shoes

I am looking for men’s shoes that are good for walking but not sneakers or hiking boots.

I walk to work and prefer not to have separate work shoes. Per policy, I can’t wear sneaker or athletic shoes. I have been wearing Durango work boots (and sometimes rabbit fur moccasins) but warm weather is coming and neither of those will work in summer.

Best shoes for after ankle injuries (woman mid 60s)

My mother recently tripped (maybe a month ago) on a broken piece of sidewalk and got a decent sprain. She's recovering well and for the most part, can go days without needing a brace as long as she's going short distances. Now she's looking for shoes that would give good ankle support that can be used for daily wear. Everything I see seems geared towards running shoes, but she's looking for a more traditional sneaker. Does anybody have recommendations on pairs that function well for regular use with support for the ankle?
