I’m looking for an alternative to rain boots for my son. He’s 8 and is very active and has experienced his rain boots coming off while running and playing. I was wondering which active shoes would be best for keeping his feet dry at a pretty much equal rate as regular rain boots.

I was buying shoes from woodland since they are known to be rugged and durable. I am moving to a city where the temperature usually would drop to -10 or even -20 in rare cases. There would be a lot of snow too. I bought these shoes(jacalu jrex)(photo attached) and later I realised they are not even from woodland. I spent almost 180$ and I feel i got ripped off cuz I don't know if these are as good as woodland or not.
I'm very concerned did i throw away 200$ for this brand I haven't heard about and can't really find a lot of information on it online either. I hope if someone has used them before could tell me how long would they last and would they fall apart in snow or cold weather and would my feet freeze to death?
TLDR: Made a dumb mistake of buying some 200$ European brand shoes(Jacalu jtex) from woodland and now I'm concerned about their quality.

I'm usually a size 37/37.5 do I get EU 38??? I tried on an UGG boot with wool inside from an authorized reseller and the guy at the store told me you're a 38 since the wool takes up space, tried it and it fit. But this is an open slipper and I don't want it to slip out of my feet while walking yk

I wear sandals 95% of the time. Where I live the winter is at the lowest 25° but it’s usually 55-70° during the day. If it’s above 55° im wearing sandals. I have Birkenstocks and they are so much more comfortable than any other shoe I own. I have scoliosis so if I’m in the wrong shoes, I can only walk for about an hour before I have to sit down, and finding shoes that support me isn’t hard, but I tend to be picky when it comes to shoe shopping.
I have to wear non slip shoes for work and let’s just say those aren’t comfortable and sometimes I have to take breaks to sit down.
I have on clouds that are also comfortable, but I definitely prefer my Birkenstocks over them. Sandals are also really easy to slip on which I like cause I tend to leave for class at the last minute.
Some people think it’s weird that I wear sandals all the time, and I used to wear tennis shoes so I’d not get comments about it. Then I was never fully comfortable and wear my sandals anyway. When it’s cold, I wear some slip on uggs; but, they aren’t a supportive shoe so I can’t wear them for long.

I’m researching how purpose-driven brands integrate their social good efforts into their e-commerce experience, and I’d love to get some real feedback on TOMS.
Right now, TOMS’ impact page is buried on their site, and their One for One model isn’t front and center when shopping. I’m curious how consumers actually perceive the brand and what could make their mission more visible and compelling.
A few key questions:
– Do you associate TOMS with social impact, or is it more of a lifestyle shoe brand to you?
– If you've bought TOMS before, did their giving model influence your decision, or was it more of an afterthought?
– What other brands (like Allbirds, Girlfriend Collective, Patagonia) do a great job of integrating their mission into their shopping experience?
– What would make TOMS' impact feel more real? live donation counters, customer stories, product page messaging, something else?
– What’s the biggest reason you do (or don’t) support brands that focus on social good?
Would love to hear your thoughts! What makes a brand’s impact feel authentic vs. just a marketing tactic?

I bought a pair of Hoka Bondi 7’s coming up on 3 years ago now.. I didn’t even realize I’ve had them that long lol. I just wear them for work and they’re beat to hell at this point. I do lots of walking and they’re great for that but I work in the back of a retail store prepping and packaging produce where I am just standing. I’m basically in a prep kitchen standing at a stainless steel table all day cutting. It absolutely kills my back and wrecks my feet. I’ve searched forever for shoes meant for standing and all I really get recommended are shoes that are good for nurses. They are standing a lot but they’re at least still moving. A lot of my work is just standing still at a prep table cutting produce.
There’s gotta be someone else out there who has figured out some good shoes for just standing all day!
